Chint Solar and Goldbeck Solar tie their strengths into a new Joint Venture for a better Operation & Maintenance service concept in the Netherlands

The newly formed Joint Venture "ZONNEPARK SERVICES NEDERLAND B.V." starts operations on October 1st, 2020 with around 440 MW of secured Operation & Maintenance contracts and will become the leading PV service company in Dutch market.

Chint Solar and Goldbeck Solar established a strategic partnership for several years and jointly implemented 280 MW of PV projects in the Netherlands. Both companies are very committed to the energy transition and intend to be involved in the Dutch solar market long-term by actively managing PV plants during the operating phase across the country. ZONNEPARK SERVICES NEDERLAND B.V. offers its Operation & Maintenance services not only to PV plants developed and built by either Chint Solar or Goldbeck Solar, but will extend its service offering also to third-party PV systems.

ZONNEPARK SERVICES NEDERLAND B.V. will convince our customers with the strengths of two experienced partners. "Our EPC experience helps to identify and eliminate weak points at a very early stage reducing considerably operational costs. Within the next 3 years, we are planning a steep growth of the Operation & Maintenance portfolio to more than 1,000 MW. Along the growth path, we will introduce innovations such as the use of Artificial Intelligence. Besides having a market leading position for Operation & Maintenance services in the Netherlands in terms of size, we also aim to offer our clients high quality and reliable services", affirms Tobias Schüßler, COO of Goldbeck Solar and Managing Director of ZONNEPARK SERVICES NEDERLAND B.V.

The existing Operation & Maintenance portfolio of 440 MW has a good geographical distribution across the country and will allow ZONNEPARK SERVICES NEDERLAND B.V. to offer professional Operation & Maintenance services at competitive costs.  The Operation & Maintenance service offering will include all necessary aspects such as preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, asset management and other additional services to continuously maximize the performance of solar parks.

A reliable long-term relationship

Oliver Schweininger, CEO of Chint Solar in Europe and Managing Director of ZONNEPARK SERVICES NEDERLAND B.V., sees the following success factors: "We offer our customers more than 20 years of global PV experience combined with the strong local expertise of Dutch engineers and service technicians. Bankability in the Operation & Maintenance business is becoming increasingly important for plant owners to ensure the continuity of services over time. ZONNEPARK SERVICES NEDERLAND B.V., with Chint Solar and Goldbeck Solar as shareholders, will be among the most bankable companies in the Dutch energy sector. The Joint Venture’s customers can rely on a long-term fruitful partnership with us".

The Dutch team on site will be led by Koen de Louw, who has a deep experience in Operation & Maintenance services. ZONNEPARK SERVICES NEDERLAND B.V. intends to rapidly expand its team in the coming years to accommodate the business growth with a good presence throughout the Netherlands.  Customer proximity is considered by the management of the company as a key aspect to successfully manage the PV systems with a short response time.

This is the most important adds Koen de Louw: "We always think through the eyes of the customer. We are committed to providing Operation & Maintenance services in a very conscientious and reliable manner to ensure full customer satisfaction and maximize the performance of the PV system".
