The entire operational workflow has been comprehensively redesigned, from sample receipt through to the issuance of analytical results. Collaboration between sample reception and the laboratory sample preparation department has been streamlined and fully integrated. At the same time, the sample preparation and homogenization phase has been upgraded and formally established as a dedicated department.
Within the new organizational framework, homogenization is no longer regarded as a mere technical step, but as a central process hub. Once registered and labeled, each sample is immediately made available to the preparation department, which takes charge of it according to clearly defined and shared priorities (routine or urgent requests, matrix type, and analytical scope). This structured approach ensures that each laboratory sample is representative from the outset while significantly reducing interdepartmental waiting times through direct communication channels and coordinated activity planning.
In parallel, the areas dedicated to sample preparation have been expanded and reorganized in a systematic and functional manner. A greater number of clearly identified workstations have been introduced, structured by department, matrix type, and activity. The new layout promotes an orderly and controlled sample flow, minimizing interference between different processing activities and improving operator ergonomics.
Particular attention has been given to facility systems management. Extraction and ventilation systems have been enhanced and precisely calibrated according to the specific activities performed and associated risk profiles. These systems are designed to ensure safe and stable operating conditions, limit operator exposure, and reduce the potential for cross-contamination, in full alignment with Good Laboratory Practices and applicable health and safety regulations.
This strategic development responds to the steady increase in sample volumes while further strengthening the reliability, consistency, and robustness of analytical performance. Through this expansion, Laemmegroup reaffirms its commitment to operational excellence and continuous quality improvement.
