Following their joint presence at Interzoo in Nuremberg earlier this year, WELDING FEED recently welcomed a technical expert from Eurogum’s team for an on-site training session. He presented Eurogum’s portfolio, current applications, and a newly developed product with promising perspectives for sustainable pet nutrition.

The training focused on the practical aspects of pet food development, from formulation to production and packaging. The technical expert explained how parameters such as equipment temperature, production and transport conditions, and agitator size contribute to consistent quality and the desired product characteristics.

These insights were put into practice by producing and assessing wet pet food. Participants opened and compared different samples and packaging solutions, evaluating their sliceability, texture, colour, and stability firsthand. They also discussed the role of water, gelling agents, and stabilizers in creating stable textures.
