Larger Build Volumes for Industrial Additive Manufacturing

Additive manufacturing of metal components enables the production of complex geometries and functionally integrated parts. As demand continues to grow for larger components and higher production volumes, advanced manufacturing systems with expanded build capacities are becoming increasingly important. To address these requirements, Toolcraft AG is investing in the Farsoon FS722, further expanding its capabilities in metal additive manufacturing.

New Opportunities for Large Components and Serial Production
This investment is driven by the positive trend in orders and the growing demand for larger-sized production parts. The Farsoon FS722 has a build volume of 720 × 420 × 650 mm and is equipped with eight lasers, each with a power output of 1,000 watts. The system is used at Toolcraft to process the AlSi10Mg aluminum alloy.

Stefan Auernhammer, Business Unit Manager Additive Manufacturing, explains: „Growing customer demand and the need to address new component dimensions made the targeted expansion and scaling of our L-PBF production capacities a necessity.”

Technology Expansion and Partnership Go Hand in Hand
This investment underscores the confidence in the partnership with Farsoon Europe, as well as the shared goal of consistently expanding the potential of additive manufacturing for industrial applications. „Our collaboration with Toolcraft demonstrates the importance of combining high-performance machine technology with extensive manufacturing expertise. We are delighted to further strengthen our partnership through the FS722 and unlock new opportunities for larger components and serial production applications together.” – Oliver Li, Managing Director Farsoon Europe GmbH

Continuous Development of Manufacturing Capabilities
For Toolcraft AG, the continuous expansion of its manufacturing capabilities is closely tied to the requirements of various industries and applications.

The Farsoon FS722 complements existing capabilities in metal additive manufacturing and supports the company’s focus on sophisticated components and industrial production tasks

The collaboration is set to continue evolving in the future so that the two companies can jointly explore new applications for additive manufacturing and sustainably advance its use in industrial manufacturing processes.
