InsurLab Germany is the central innovation and transformation platform for the insurance industry in Germany. The first step of the project is now underway: MOSOLF’s organizational units, facilities (such as car washes and paint shops), and truck fleet of around 800 vehicles will first be mapped in green.screen. The software will now consolidate existing energy consumption data – previously based on historical data and manual entries – in a structured manner and make it systematically evaluable.

The next phase of the project will focus on automation: MOSOLF plans to supplement data collection in the future – where appropriate – with the targeted use of digital measurement systems to enable continuous data processing. In the long term, telemetry data from the truck fleet will also be integrated – a significant step toward greater transparency and efficiency in fleet management.

Arvato Systems operates green.screen as software-as-a-service in the Microsoft Azure Cloud. The solution is customized for MOSOLF – including specially defined KPIs such as fuel consumption and mileage. This allows for precise analysis of energy efficiency and forms the basis for targeted optimization measures.

As part of the implementation of the ISO 50001 standard, which requires systematic energy management for the continuous improvement of energy efficiency, MOSOLF is pursuing the goal of optimizing energy use in a sustainable manner. The systematic collection and aggregation of data not only provides a better basis for decision-making on sustainability measures, but also creates the basis for reliable ESG reporting.

With green.screen, MOSOLF is relying on modern technologies to make sustainability measurable – thereby underlining its claim to be a driver of innovation in the logistics industry.

MOSOLF and Arvato Systems already have a close working relationship: in an earlier SAP transformation project, the entire order processing system for the MOSOLF Group’s technology and logistics centers was significantly expanded in SAP.

At LogiMAT 2026, Arvato Systems will demonstrate how digital energy management and ESG data processes can be implemented in logistics practice – and provide insights into green.screen. Sustainability and energy transparency in logistics
Arvato Systems will also be presenting green.screen at LogiMAT. This is a software solution for strategic sustainability management that enables logistics companies to transparently record, analyze, and control energy consumption, emissions, and ESG metrics, thereby laying the foundation for improved energy efficiency.

The ranking is based on an independent survey of IT providers and customers. The 2026 survey included 4,761 participants, including 2,648 IT experts and 2,114 employees of IT customers – for example, IT staff in companies or those responsible for IT purchasing. • Mandatory in the EU from 2027: The digital product passport will be gradually introduced for almost all physical goods, creating transparency throughout the entire product life cycle.
• More than compliance: The digital product passport promotes circular economy, efficiency, and sustainability.

The European Union will gradually introduce the Digital Product Passport (DPP) as a mandatory requirement from 2027 onwards. This marks the beginning of a new era of transparency and sustainability. The DPP will apply to almost all physical goods manufactured or imported into the EU. The aim is to enable complete traceability throughout the entire product life cycle, thereby consistently promoting the circular economy.

The digital product passport is more than just a data record – it is the key to a sustainable, digital future. In the future, all relevant information, such as material composition, chemicals contained, and repair and recycling options, can be accessed at any time via a data carrier permanently attached to the product, such as a QR code. This not only creates transparency, but also opens completely new opportunities for companies:

• More efficient use of resources reduces costs
• Digital maintenance information improves product quality
• Circular economy promotes environmental protection
• Materials remain in the economic cycle longer, reducing dependence on raw materials
• Overall, resilience is strengthened and external dependencies are reduced

“The introduction of the DPP presents companies with technical and organizational hurdles. It is therefore advisable to prepare product information at an early stage so that the advantages of the digital product passport can already be used for your own purposes. This will ensure that companies are well prepared when the DPP requirement comes into force,” emphasizes Kimberly Karambis, who is responsible for the digital product passport at Arvato Systems.

The imminent discontinuation of SAP IS-U support is putting the energy industry under considerable pressure to transform. With AEP.EnerS4, Arvato Systems is now launching a new billing platform that addresses precisely this challenge: a solution based on SAP S/4HANA Utilities that consistently combines standardization and individuality.

By the end of 2027 at the latest, all energy suppliers still using SAP IS-U will have to switch to SAP S/4HANA Utilities. At the same time, project, operational, and specialist resources are severely limited at both utilities and IT service providers. The consequence of this situation is that individual projects can hardly be realized economically and on schedule under these conditions.

The AEP.EnerS4 billing solution, which is based on a client system, offers a solution to this problem. The new platform from Arvato Systems is based on a central master system that is aligned with the SAP strategy and the RISE approach. At its core is SAP S/4HANA Utilities, supplemented by defined, optional service shells for operations, process support, further development, and BPO services.

Benedict Kock, Business Owner for AEP.EnerS4, summarizes the key difference between this and traditional template or client solutions: "The solution is not a static project artifact, but a multi-layered platform. At its core is a master system based on SAP RISE-MSP, around which various shells can be placed as services." Earlier this week, Broadcom confirmed Arvato Systems’ partner status as an authorized VMware Cloud Service Provider (VCSP) as part of a comprehensive update to its partner program, thereby strengthening the collaboration between the two companies.

As part of the reorganization of the Broadcom Advantage Partner Program, all partners with VMware Cloud Service Provider (VCSP) status were reviewed. Broadcom applied even stricter criteria in this review. Only selected partners who are able to fulfill specific VMware competencies will retain their VCSP status.

According to Broadcom, market developments and changing customer requirements necessitate close collaboration with a carefully selected group of strategic partners whose business models, capabilities, and investment priorities are geared toward delivering consistent, high-performance end-to-end solutions throughout the entire customer lifecycle.
