Dymax, a global manufacturer of light-curing materials and equipment, announces the launch of its 9310 adhesive engineered to reinforce fine-pitch, leadless components on printed circuit boards.

Designed for advanced electronics and AI hardware, 9310 cures in seconds with light, delivering a fast, streamlined alternative to traditional underfill. A secondary heat cure ensures full polymerization in shadowed areas, supporting consistent performance across complex assemblies.

Dymax 9310 maintains adhesion through high-temperature reflow. It is formulated to flex under strain, helping absorb movement caused by thermal expansion and reducing stress on solder joints and components. Its combination of high elongation (145%) and controlled modulus allows the material to accommodate thermal and mechanical strain, helping maintain bond integrity over time in demanding environments.

The adhesive’s high viscosity and thixotropic profile enable precise edge bonding without unwanted flow. This improves placement control and overall process consistency. The material is also reworkable at relatively low temperatures, supporting greater manufacturing flexibility.

“9310 makes it easier to reinforce components quickly and consistently, without the added steps and complexity of underfill,” said Doug Katze, Senior Electronics Business Development Manager for Dymax.

Instrument Systems presents its portfolio of measurement solutions for night-vision-compatible lighting and displays according to MIL-STD-3009. These solutions offer pass/fail compliance testing, evaluation and reporting applicable for NVG-compatible lighting and displays in military and civil aviation applications. The portfolio includes calibrated hardware with MIL certificate, software and positioning systems.

Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) applications require lighting that supports safe nighttime operations without compromising the performance of night-vision goggles. Incompatible light sources can reduce contrast, impair situational awareness and cause glare or image degradation. Instrument Systems’ NVIS testing solutions are designed to measure the spectral ranges and viewing geometries relevant to established standards such as MIL-L-85762A, MIL-STD-3009 and SAE AS 5452B.

The DTS140D NVIS system consists of the TOP 200 telescopic optical probe and the CAS 140D spectroradiometer. The TOP 200 uses an optimized Pritchard-style optical design to produce a sharp circular measuring spot. It includes six selectable apertures, interchangeable lenses, a large field of view with viewer camera for sample alignment and a fiber-coupled design with a patented mode mixer. The mode mixer compensates for changes caused by fiber movement.

The CAS 140D spectroradiometer covers the 380- to 1040-nm range and is adapted to the MIL requirements with dedicated NVIS bandpass filters and automatic sensitivity adjustment. The system architecture is designed to handle the extreme optical dynamic range between the visible and near-infrared regions that make NVIS radiance measurements so challenging. The DTS 140D NVIS display test system is delivered fully calibrated, including the MIL test certificate in accordance with MIL-L-85762A and MIL-STD-3009.

SpecWin Pro laboratory software provides functions such as live viewer image display, automatic pass/fail testing, data export and report generation in NVIS measuring mode. The system can also be integrated with positioning systems, such as the DTS 500 series, to measure emission patterns, viewing angles and panel graphics. In addition, software developer kits (SDK / dll) are available to automate all components and evaluate according to the MIL standard.

The Instrument Systems NVIS portfolio supports a broad range of applications, including military and rescue aviation, civil avionics, marine operations, police missions, medevac aircraft and special air cargo. Devices under test range from small symbols on push buttons up to large display panels. In addition, NVIS-friendly testing probes can be easily added for exterior lighting products.

Certified calibration and traceability are core elements of the offering. Measurements are traceable to the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Germany and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the United States through Instrument Systems’ ISO 17025-accredited test laboratory. This supports comparability across locations, production lines and metrological setups.

Columbia Laboratories is proud to announce the successful development and launch of new Paraquat and Diquat analysis services, expanding our Polar Pesticide testing capabilities.

As global regulatory scrutiny intensifies, these nonselective herbicides, which are widely used in agricultural and industrial settings, require precise and reliable monitoring. Because these compounds can migrate into agricultural runoff, groundwater, and irrigation systems, robust testing is essential to verify product quality and support supply chain compliance.

Historically, testing for Paraquat and Diquat has been complex and often dependent on time-consuming derivatization processes. Columbia Laboratories’ expanded analytical capabilities streamline testing and reduce unnecessary processing bottlenecks, providing clients with greater efficiency and a more cost-effective solution.

Regulatory bodies such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) enforce strict Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) for Paraquat and Diquat. Exceeding these thresholds can lead to costly product recalls, regulatory penalties, and long-term damage to brand reputation.

Our expanded Polar Pesticide testing capabilities provide the comprehensive analysis needed to help agricultural producers, food manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, and exporters meet domestic and international compliance requirements.

This development underscores our continued investment in innovation and our commitment to remaining at the forefront of analytical science. Columbia Laboratories provides practical, science-driven solutions that help clients navigate evolving food safety and regulatory requirements with confidence.

Protect your brand, strengthen supply chain integrity, and maintain market access with Columbia Laboratories.

Every object sent into the atmosphere and beyond must first be tested for stability and functionality. Thermography offers a wide range of possibilities for analyzing how materials and components behave under the demanding conditions of flight or in space. Contactless, two-dimensional temperature measurement enables, for example, the localization of material defects under mechanical stress or hot spots on electronic components during actual operation, the analysis of flow processes on airfoils or turbines, and the evaluation of the heat resistance of ceramic materials.

Thermography can provide answers to a wide range of questions in aerospace engineering. However, the broad spectrum of associated measurement and testing tasks requires thermal imaging cameras of various performance classes, appropriate measurement methods, and specific expertise to achieve optimal results. Cameras designed for spectral thermography, for example, can be used in engine development, for the detection of combustion gases, or for the development and investigation of special ceramic coatings.

Active thermography offers numerous possibilities for non-destructive testing, ranging from fundamental investigations of asteroid samples returned to Earth by space probes to quality control of fiber-reinforced materials. With the help of micro thermography, thermal microactuators for nanotechnology can be analyzed, and electronic components can be optimized with regard to their thermal management.

High-speed thermography enables even the fastest processes to be captured in detail, such as the thermal stress on the outer skin of missiles during re-entry into the atmosphere or on braking systems during aircraft landing.

In the online event, our experts will explain in detail the capabilities of innovative thermography cameras for investigating the many different questions in aerospace engineering. Our guest speaker from industry will also provide you with in-depth insights into practical applications. He will share how thermography is used in his work, the specific challenges he has faced, and how he has mastered them.

Omni Composite Tank (OCT) has obtained the world’s first approval for a carbon fibre-reinforced Portable Tank for international maritime transport. The tests required for approval under the IMDG Code were coordinated and conducted by TÜV SÜD. In June 2026, TÜV SÜD, acting as an Inspection Body, had already supported the approval of the tank design by the German Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM).

OCT’s Omni ISO tank combines a special thermoplastic lining with a carbon fibre composite structure. According to OCT, the advantages of this design include high resistance to corrosive chemicals, long-term durability without the need for maintenance, and significant weight savings compared to conventional steel tanks. The tank is suitable for a wide range of corrosive, toxic, oxidising, high-purity, pharmaceutical, and food-grade liquids. Its reduced weight allows for higher payloads in road, rail, and maritime transport. OCT is a Hong Kong-based joint venture between Omni Tanker and McConaghy Boats. The company combines Omni Tanker’s proprietary composite tank technology with McConaghy’s advanced composite manufacturing expertise to produce next-generation composite ISO tanks for global transport.

Development of the innovative Omni fibre-reinforced tanks in accordance with ADR/RID began in 2014. TÜV SÜD was involved in the inspection process from the very beginning and supported the certification of the tanks for road and rail transport and, more recently, for maritime transport, forming the basis for approval by the German Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM). TÜV SÜD has already supported OCT in various projects, contributing its long-standing expertise in the assessment and certification of transportable pressure equipment and dangerous goods containments. Furthermore, TÜV SÜD contributed to the development of the new testing requirements and regulatory provisions for fibre-reinforced portable tanks within the United Nations framework, including ADR/RID 6.9 and IMDG Code 6.10, as part of the German delegation of national representatives. These provisions are a key regulatory basis for certification by the competent authority.

The current approval of OCT´s Omni ISO tank under the IMDG Code for International Maritime Dangerous Goods marks an important milestone for the use of carbon fibre-reinforced composite portable tanks in the global transport of dangerous goods. “I am very pleased that we have been able to support this challenging project over such a long period of time,” said Michael Krämer, Head of the Notified Body/Inspection Body for Transportable Pressure Equipment/Dangerous Goods Containments at TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH. “Assessment by independent and experienced experts based on the relevant legal frameworks ensures that innovative solutions such as OCT’s Omni ISO tank are safe and brought to market in compliance with all applicable regulations.”

Regulatory requirements for transportable pressure equipment

The placing on the market of transportable pressure equipment for Class 2 gases in Europe is subject to the provisions of European Directive 2010/35/EU (Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive – TPED). For Classes 3 to 9, transportable tanks are regulated under national rules in conjunction with ADR/RID and the IMDG Code. The conformity assessment procedures are specified in ADR/RID 6.2, 6.7 and 6.8, and for fibre-reinforced tanks (portable tanks) in ADR/RID 6.9 and IMDG Code 6.10. TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH is a recognised inspection body (Xa) under ISO/IEC 17020 and a Notified Body under Directive 2010/35/EU. It is also recognised by BAM for the testing of Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) and transportable tanks in accordance with the IMDG Code.

For two days, Würzburg became the hub of the international plastics industry: About 100 participants from Europe and other countries gathered at the invitation of the SKZ Plastics Center for the Customer Day of the Testing | Monitoring | Certification division. The event focused on current developments, practical insights, and professional exchange regarding testing, monitoring, and certification throughout the plastics industry’s value chain.

About 100 participants attended technical presentations, lab tours, and live demonstrations on testing, monitoring, and certification

The international nature of the event was also reflected in its organization: All presentations and program items were offered in both German and English. Thanks to professional simultaneous interpreters, participants were able to follow the technical presentations, live demonstrations, and discussions without any difficulty. This fostered an intensive exchange of knowledge and experience across national and linguistic boundaries.

Technical presentations, lab tours, and live demonstrations
With a varied program featuring technical presentations, exclusive lab tours, and hands-on live demonstrations, the Customer Day offered far more than just traditional knowledge transfer. Guests gained insights into specialized testing procedures, explored the SKZ’s testing and research laboratories, and took the opportunity to engage directly with the experts on site.

This allowed guests to experience the full range of SKZ’s services firsthand. The live demonstrations, in particular, generated great interest and illustrated how scientific expertise and practical solutions are combined.

“Our goal is not only to impart knowledge, but also to foster connections. Personal interaction with our customers and partners is of inestimable value to us. The fact that we were able to welcome guests from so many different countries to Würzburg demonstrates the high regard in which our work is held and underscores the SKZ’s international significance as an independent partner for testing, inspection, and certification,” says Dr. Thomas Hochrein, Managing Director of Testing at the SKZ.

Personal Dialogue and New Collaborations
In addition to the technical content, the focus was above all on personal dialogue. In numerous discussions, experiences were shared, challenges were addressed, and new approaches for future collaborations were developed. The joint evening event provided the perfect setting for this and fostered networking among the participants.

A Platform for the International Plastics Industry
The SKZ Customer Day once again demonstrated the importance of personal exchange for the plastics industry. Technical presentations, hands-on demonstrations, and direct discussions offered participants a wide range of opportunities to discuss current challenges and potential solutions, as well as to establish new contacts.

The two-day event in Würzburg concluded with numerous technical insights and new networking opportunities. The high level of international participation underscored the SKZ’s role as an independent partner for testing, inspection, and certification in the plastics industry.

Rheinmetall has been awarded the contract to modernise the 143-meter-long frigate BAYERN at the end of the second quarter of 2026. The objective of the project is to ensure the operational readiness of the German Navy frigate, which entered service in 1996, until at least 2035 while adapting its capabilities to current operational requirements. The contract is valued in the mid-three-digit million euro range.

As part of the service life extension program key systems of the frigate will undergo comprehensive modernisation at Rheinmetall’s Neue Jadewerft shipyard in Wilhelmshaven until 2029. The work includes the replacement of the Combat Management System (CMS), the overhaul of essential shipboard engineering systems, and the modernisation of the radar sensor suite. In addition, the propulsion and drive systems will be overhauled, while key anti-submarine warfare (ASW) capabilities will be upgraded. These measures will bring the F123-class frigate up to the latest technological standards and sustainably enhance its capabilities for future operations.

The contract highlights the strategic importance of Rheinmetall’s service business within the Naval Systems division. Long-term maintenance, modernization, and lifecycle support are integral elements of the division’s portfolio, ensuring the operational readiness of complex naval systems over decades.

“We are now fully focused on delivering the project on schedule. The Neue Jadewerft shipyard has many years of experience in the modernization and maintenance of naval vessels—particularly frigates—and possesses extensive expertise in integrating complex maritime systems. Combined with our close cooperation with all project partners and our customer, these capabilities provide the foundation for delivering the ship to the German Navy on time and to the required quality standards,” said Tim Wagner, CEO of Rheinmetall’s Naval Systems division.

The vessel is currently berthed at Neue Jadewerft, where major components are being removed. Following this phase, BAYERN will be transferred to the shipyard’s dry dock.

I. Why you should read this article

The 9th amendment to the MaRisk (Minimum Requirements for Risk Management) sets the standard for proper business organization and risk management — and thereby directly determines the personal liability risk of management, compliance officers, and money laundering officers. Ignoring MaRisk 2026 exposes institutions to organizational negligence and heightened civil, regulatory, and criminal liability.

II. Deadlines, timeframes and cycles

Supervisory timeframe: The consultation ran until 8 May 2026; the final version has been available since 30 June 2026 and is immediately applicable. Supervisory authorities usually distinguish "clarifying" provisions (immediately effective) from new requirements with transitional periods; for earlier amendments these extended in some cases to 31 December of the following year (e.g. NPL rules, outsourcing contracts), and similar transitions are expected in 2026.
Strategic and technical timelines: ESG and environmental risks must be assessed short-, medium- and long-term using scenarios spanning at least ten years (resilience analyses). Capital planning must be reviewed annually with a multi-year horizon and key assumptions updated as needed. NPE strategies require short-, medium- and long-term reduction targets plus quarterly KPI reviews. Emergency management and significant outsourcing require at least annual reviews, with quarterly reporting to management.
Operational audit and reporting cycles: Risk inventory, risk classification and credit rating must be conducted at least annually, including a review of materiality and ESG impacts. Internal Audit follows a risk-oriented plan on a 3-year cycle for all activities and a 5-year cycle for non-material areas; material deficiencies must be addressed no later than the next quarterly report. Risk reports go to senior management at least quarterly for all material risk types, with far more frequent reporting during periods of stress.

III. Duties for C-level executives and compliance

MaRisk 2026 specifies key organizational, risk and outsourcing obligations affecting management, supervisory bodies and control functions.

1. Management and supervisory body: Management must ensure proper business organization and effective risk management, and must define and regularly review business, risk, ICT and — where applicable — DOR strategies, including risk appetite, capital planning and, for high NPL portfolios, an NPE strategy. The supervisory body must be informed at least quarterly about business situation, risk profile and specific risks.

2. Risk management and internal control systems: Institutions must establish a risk-bearing capacity concept with an ICAAP process, run regular stress and resilience analyses, and identify, assess, manage and monitor all material risks, including ESG and ICT risks. The structure must reflect a clear separation of functions (market, back office, trading, risk control, compliance, audit), underpinned by binding organizational guidelines.

3. Special functions, resources and documentation: Risk control, compliance and internal audit are mandatory, organizationally independent and adequately resourced. Internal audit works risk-based on a 3- to 5-year cycle, monitors remediation and reports at least quarterly. Institutions must ensure sufficient staffing, suitable technical infrastructure and an emergency management system with an annually reviewed emergency plan and quarterly reporting to senior management. Records must be kept systematically and transparently and retained for several years.

4. Adaptation processes, outsourcing and reporting: New products, new markets and significant organizational or ICT changes trigger a structured new-product/adaptation process involving risk controlling, compliance and audit. Significant outsourcing requires a risk analysis, clearly defined agreements, centralized outsourcing management, contingency and exit planning, and ongoing monitoring — with senior management’s responsibility remaining non-transferable. Risk controlling must prepare comprehensive risk reports and specific reports on credit, market-price, liquidity and operational risks at least quarterly.

IV. Liability risks and critical areas

MaRisk 2026 is not itself a liability provision but a more specific standard for judging whether corporate bodies and their functions have properly fulfilled their duties. The core risks:

1. Management (Board / Executive): Breaches of duty in business organization, risk management, outsourcing, ESG and IT can constitute a breach of the duty of care (internal liability under § 43 GmbHG, § 93 AktG). Violations of Section 25a KWG (organization, risk management), Section 25b KWG (outsourcing), Sections 25c and 25d KWG (requirements for managers and supervisory bodies) and Section 26c KWG (ESG risks) form the basis for supervisory measures, fines and withdrawal of "fit and proper" suitability. Organizational omissions can trigger criminal liability for omission under Section 13 StGB together with relevant offenses, plus breach of supervisory duties under Section 130 OWiG.

2. Supervisory body: Insufficient oversight of management and risk management — particularly with obvious MaRisk deficiencies (missing segregation of functions, inadequate outsourcing control, ignored ESG risks) — can lead to liability under Sections 116 and 93 AktG. Breaches also affect personal reliability and professional suitability, indirectly via Section 25d KWG.

3. Compliance function: Compliance must systematically identify essential legal requirements and ensure their monitoring; system failures or "blind spots" count as organizational deficiencies, with consequences for management and, in serious cases, for the responsible compliance officers. Relevant provisions: Section 25a KWG, Section 80 WpHG in conjunction with Article 16 of MiFID II. In extreme cases, employment-law and criminal liability may arise if serious violations are deliberately tolerated or concealed (Section 13 StGB, Section 130 OWiG).

4. Money Laundering Officer: Failure to report suspected cases or to implement appropriate AML processes can trigger personal liability under Sections 43 et seq. GwG, supplemented by the AML Regulation (EU) 2024/1624. Missing, late or inadequate controls can lead to personal criminal or administrative liability under Section 130 OWiG and Section 13 StGB (guarantor status from legally transferred duty).

5. Outsourcing, ESG and IT/DORA: "Empty shell" structures, missing risk analysis, insufficient controllability or absent contingency/exit planning for significant outsourcing violate Section 25b KWG and corresponding WpIG provisions (e.g. Sections 4 and 82 WpIG). Insufficient integration of ESG risks can breach Section 26c KWG and the MaRisk-derived obligations. Missing or inadequate ICT risk and emergency management sits in the tension between Section 25a KWG and the DORA Regulation (EU) 2022/2554, raising both corporate and criminal/administrative risk after security incidents.

V. Recommendations for action

The aim is twofold: meet supervisory expectations while refuting typical liability claims.

1. Governance and clarity of accountability: Update and formally adopt a governance map (management, supervisory body, special functions, outsourcing management) with clear responsibility and reporting lines, anchored in organizational guidelines and individual declarations of responsibility; document an annual review of responsibilities, resources and reporting cycles. This counters the charge of improper business organization (§ 25a KWG, § 43 GmbHG, § 93 AktG) and the "empty shell" allegation.

2. Structured implementation and a "chain of justification": Develop an institution-wide MaRisk implementation concept with gap analysis, priorities, timelines and owners (risk management, ESG, ICT/DORA, outsourcing, reporting). For every essential principle (proportionality, simplifications, model use, stress tests), record a written "why so?" rationale and decide it at management (and, where relevant, supervisory-body) level. This reduces exposure to the charge of only formal — not effective — implementation of Sections 25a, 25b and 26c KWG, to supervisory-audit findings of no comprehensible decision basis, and to negligence charges under § 13 StGB for "looking the other way".

3. Strengthen ESG, ICT and model governance: Integrate ESG as an explicit risk driver into inventory, strategy and stress tests with documented methodology; adopt an ICT/DORA strategy with clear objectives, risk appetite and emergency/outsourcing frameworks; document the model register, validation plan, data-quality processes and override policy. This defuses allegations of inadequate consideration of ESG risks (§ 26c KWG), of insufficient IT organization or digital resilience (Section 25a KWG and DORA), and of model liability.

4. Make outsourcing management "liability-proof": Run a central risk analysis for all outsourcing (including onward outsourcing) with materiality classification and scenario analysis; maintain a complete outsourcing register, standardized contract clauses (information, audit, instruction, termination, exit) and coordinated emergency/exit strategies; report at least annually to the board with a per-provider traffic-light rating. This addresses the "empty shell" charge under § 25a, § 25b KWG, controllability-related liability (fines, Section 82 WpIG for securities institutions), and breach of guarantor/supervisory duties on outsourcing failure.

5. Sharpen the reporting and escalation chain: Produce quarterly comprehensive risk reports focused on risk appetite, limit breaches, stress-test results, ESG and ICT risks and key outsourcing/emergency issues; set binding escalation rules; verifiably track all significant audit and compliance findings (action plan, deadlines, status). This reduces liability from missing or delayed information of the supervisory body (breach of Section 25a KWG) and the "known defects not rectified" starting point for Section 13 StGB and Section 130 OWiG.

6. Specifically for compliance and money laundering officers: Maintain a risk-based compliance risk atlas classifying key norms (AML, AMLR, sanctions, ESG, IT and data-protection law) with regular updates; keep a clear separation of roles (compliance, MLRO, data protection) with written reporting lines; for AML, establish clear suspicious-case reporting, training, random checks and a documented no-tolerance policy. This avoids the charge of structural omission in compliance/AML systems (§ 25a KWG, § 80 WpHG, GwG) and personal allegations against MLROs and compliance officers (§ 43 GwG, § 13 StGB, § 130 OWiG).

VI. Conclusion

MaRisk 2026 is not merely a supervisory document but a liability-critical organizational benchmark for management, supervisory bodies, compliance officers and money laundering officers. Institutions that visibly align and justify their governance, risk management, ESG and ICT structures, outsourcing and reporting with these principles materially reduce their exposure. The decisive factor is documented, risk-based implementation — not a merely formal adaptation of guidelines.

Fortuna Mining Corp. (NYSE: FSM | TSX: FVI) – https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/fortuna-mining-inc/ – is pleased to announce that it has approved the expansion of its Séguéla Gold Mine in Côte d’Ivoire.

The project includes an expansion of the Séguéla processing facility, upgrades to supporting infrastructure, and development of the Sunbird underground mine. Together, these investments are expected to increase throughput, improve gold recoveries, accelerate production from Séguéla’s growing resource base, and reinforce the mine’s position as a cornerstone asset in Fortuna’s portfolio.

Expansion Highlights

30% increase in processing capacity, from 1.75 Mtpa to 2.3 Mtpa, with average gold recovery expected to reach 94.5%

Expected to support average annual gold production at Séguéla of more than 200,000 ounces over the next decade

Higher recoveries and accelerated gold production are expected to enhance cash flow generation and deliver attractive project returns, with a projected payback period of approximately 2.5 years

Estimated construction capital of $109 million, to be funded from operating cash flow and supported by the Company’s strong liquidity of approximately $800 million as of the end of
Q1 2026

Jorge A. Ganoza, President and CEO, commented, “Séguéla has consistently exceeded expectations since entering production in mid-2023 and continues to demonstrate strong growth potential. This expansion represents the logical next step in unlocking additional value from the asset by increasing processing capacity, integrating underground production, and enhancing operating flexibility. The project supports our strategy of disciplined reinvestment in high-quality assets and, along with the feasibility stage Diamba Sud project in Senegal, advances Fortuna’s objective of increasing consolidated annual gold rate of production toward 500,000 ounces by 2028.”

Project Overview

The Séguéla expansion is designed to increase processing capacity, improve gold recoveries, and support a higher long-term production profile by integrating the Sunbird underground mine with targeted upgrades to the processing plant and supporting infrastructure, including expanded camp facilities and enhancements to the power and water supply systems. Together, these investments are expected to enhance operational flexibility, strengthen cash flow generation, and provide a scalable platform for future growth at Séguéla.

The processing plant expansion will increase throughput from 1.75 Mtpa to approximately 2.3 Mtpa by leveraging existing infrastructure while adding capacity in key areas of the plant. This design is expected to optimize capital efficiency, reduce execution complexity, minimize disruption to ongoing operations during construction and tie-ins, and maintain operational flexibility while supporting future production growth.

Key elements of the processing plant expansion include:

Comminution upgrades: Retention of the existing crushing circuit and conversion of the milling circuit from a single-stage SAG configuration to a SAG and ball mill circuit, increasing throughput while maintaining the target grind size.

Gravity and leaching enhancements: Installation of a new gravity circuit, intensive leach reactor, pre-leach thickener, and second carbon-in-leach train to increase leaching capacity and support average gold recoveries of approximately 94.5%.

Supporting infrastructure upgrades: Enhancements to reagent handling and storage, oxygen supply, process water, plant air, and tailings pumping systems to support the expanded processing rate.

Execution Timeline

Fortuna plans to advance the Séguéla expansion through a phased execution plan designed to minimize disruption to ongoing operations.

Key milestones include:

H2 2026: Expected commencement of construction activities, including site preparation, camp expansion, procurement of long-lead items, and advancement of EPCM activities.

Q2 2027: Expected commencement of underground mining at the Sunbird deposit.

H2 2028: Targeted ramp-up to the expanded processing plant throughput of approximately 2.3 Mtpa.
