Soprattutto quando si tratta di soluzioni ad alta corrente, l&#8217;attenzione alla sicurezza dell&#8217;utente è veramente alta.</p>
<p>Un aspetto importante è l&#8217;aumento della sicurezza degli utenti, l&#8217;altro è il mantenimento delle caratteristiche peculiari del prodotto. Ecco perché i nuovi contatti per alta corrente ODU-MAC® Silver/White-Line sono dotati di caratteristiche aggiuntive: per renderli capaci di trasportare correnti fino a 255 A con tensioni fino a 2,5 kV (in situazione di Pollution Degree 2) è stato necessario aumentare il grado di isolamento ed ottimizzare al contempo lo sforzo di inserzione. Inoltre, sul lato pin, è stata aggiunta la protezione al tatto IP2X.</p>
<p>I nuovi moduli ad alta corrente presentano ulteriori vantaggi grazie all’adozione dei contatti realizzati in tecnologia ODU LAMTAC® Flex: essi garantiscono un minimo di 100.000 cicli di accoppiamento e forze di inserzione ridotte fino a 10 N.</p>
<p>Il vantaggio per l&#8217;utente: un&#8217;interfaccia di connessione per alta corrente che è sicura, altamente affidabile e durevole, ideale per l&#8217;uso su AGV/AMR, dove l&#8217;ODU-MAC® Silver-Line è l&#8217;interfaccia tra il robot e la sua stazione di ricarica, o per applicazioni ad alta potenza in generale. Naturalmente, i nuovi moduli possono essere combinati con i normali moduli ODU-MAC® Silver-/White-Line per creare un connettore modulare adattato a qualsiasi esigenza specifica del cliente.</p></div>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class="pb-text">Robot-human interaction can be a complex field with high safety requirements. Especially when dealing with high-current solutions, the emphasis on user safety cannot be strong enough.</p>
<p>One important aspect is increasing user safety, the other one is keeping product advantages at the same time. That’s why ODU’s new ODU-MAC® Silver-/White-Line high-current modules come with extra features. Up to 255 A and 2.5 kV (PD 2) call for an increase in clearance and creepage. Additionally, IP2X touch-protection has been added to the pin side.</p>
<p>While this optimization is necessary for any high-current application, the modules have more advantages by using ODU LAMTAC® Flex contacts: a minimum of 100,000 mating cycles and decreased mating forces of up to 10 N.</p>
<p>The benefit for the user: a <b>safe</b>, highly <b>reliable</b> and <b>durable</b> high-current interface, making it ideal for use in AGVs/AMRs, where the ODU-MAC® SilverLine is the interface between robot and the station, or high-power applications in general. Of course, the new modules can be combined with regular ODUMAC® Silver-/White-Line modules to create a modular connector specifically adapted to any customer requirement.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class="pb-text">ODU, leading manufacturer of connector systems, has joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the world’s largest sustainability and corporate responsibility initiative. The Global Compact unites over 26,000 companies and organizations from more than 160 countries, all committed to ten universally recognized principles covering human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption.</p>
<p>By participating in the network, ODU is underscoring its commitment to sustainability and ethical principles. “As an international company, we are responsible not only for our employees, but also for our customers and the environment,” states ODU Group Managing Director Dr. Josef Leitner. “Joining the UN Global Compact is the next logical step on our mission to become ever more sustainable in our operations. Being part of that network strongly reflects our values.” </p>
<p>For years, ODU has been implementing a wide range of measures that reflect its commitment to environmental, social, and economic responsibility. On the engineering side, measures include installing ODU’s own solar power system, recovering process heat extensively, and using well water to cool machines. On the management side, ODU counts on certified environment and energy management systems, targeted employee development, and charitable activities in the local community. These initiatives demonstrate that sustainability is central to ODU’s values and embedded in its daily decisions and workflows. </p>
<p>One of the main benefits of the UN Global Compact is that it establishes a strategic framework that ODU can apply to expand and regularly review its sustainability efforts. Membership provides access to a variety of practical resources for achieving ESG goals. This will provide targeted support for ODU’s sustainability ambitions. In addition, ODU’s participation shows its support for the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, which serve as a global guide for sustainable action in business, politics and society. In future, ODU will disclose its progress made in implementing the Ten Principles of the UNGC as part of the annual Communication on Progress (CoP).</p>

<p><b>Compatto, flessibile, sicuro</b></p>
<p>Progettata come una &quot;mezza interfaccia&quot;, la Compact Class richiede solo la metà della larghezza di un classico armadio di test da 19 pollici. Con <b>4 unità di altezza</b> offre spazio per <b>quattro telai ODU-MAC® Blue-Line</b>. Se equipaggiata con quattro monoblocchi di segnale, può contattare contemporaneamente <b>fino a 1536 punti di segnale</b>. Se avete bisogno di trasmettere molti segnali ma avete dei limiti di spazio sul vostro rack, la Compact Class è la scelta giusta. Oltre alle dimensioni più compatte, la soluzione di connessione si distingue per la sua facilità d&#8217;uso. La codifica meccanica impedisce connessioni non volute e, grazie al monitoraggio delle condizioni per mezzo di un microinterruttore, è possibile determinare se il processo di aggancio è stato completato, rendendo i processi di test più comodi e sicuri.</p>
<p><b>Massima modularità in un design compatto</b></p>
<p>La nuova Compact Class può essere <b>equipaggiata con i moduli ODU-MAC® Blue-Line</b> e supporta un&#8217;ampia gamma di contatti: segnali, potenza, alta corrente, alta tensione, segnali HF (coassiali), aria compressa, fluidi, dati digitali ad alta velocità su rame e fibra ottica. Rappresenta quindi una piattaforma universale per un&#8217;ampia gamma di applicazioni, dai banchi di prova di fine linea (EoL) a quelli per i test durante lo sviluppo dei devices.</p>
<p><b>Un ricevitore &#8211; tre opzioni</b></p>
<p>È possibile scegliere tra tre diverse opzioni per un ricevitore della Compact Class:</p>
<p><b>Opzione custodia, opzione ITA</b> o opzione <b>connettore</b> con connettori manuali <b>ODU-MAC® Rapid</b>.</p>
<p>L&#8217;opzione custodia può essere vista come una &quot;grande spina&quot;: il coperchio in alluminio, robusto e leggero, può essere dotato di una maniglia per una gestione ergonomica e poggia saldamente sui ganci fissati a sinistra e a destra del ricevitore. Utilizzando la leva manuale, che può essere fissata su entrambi i lati del ricevitore, l&#8217;interfaccia viene chiusa per stabilire una connessione affidabile.</p>
<p>Può essere utilizzato anche con un adattatore ITA (Interchangeable Test Adapter) .</p>
<p><b>“Dock. Test. Done.&quot;</b> in formato ridotto.</p>
<p>L&#8217;uso di telai <b>ODU-MAC® Blue-Line</b> nella Compact Class consente inoltre di collegare al ricevitore fino a quattro connettori <b>ODU-MAC® Rapid</b>. La serie Rapid è progettata con il pratico principio del semiguscio, che facilita il montaggio e le operazioni di manutenzione del connettore cablato. Il collaudato sistema di bloccaggio del mandrino fornisce un feedback aptico e acustico non appena il connettore si trova nella posizione finale.</p>
<p><b>Potenza per le esigenze più elevate</b></p>
<p>Un&#8217;altra caratteristica speciale della Compact Class è la sua compatibilità con il Powerblock. Dotato di due contatti 16 mm Lamtac® Flex, attraverso i quali è possibile trasmettere un totale fino a 600 Ampere (2 contatti a ponticellati su busbar), ogni Powerblock offre inoltre spazio aggiuntivo per la trasmissione di segnali, dati, fluidi o aria compressa. Ciò rende la Compact Class la prima scelta quando si tratta di trasmettere le correnti più elevate possibili nello spazio di installazione più ridotto possibile.</p></div>

<p>The up to 4,608 signal points make the existing variants of the ODU-MAC® Black-Line real heavyweights in the field of test and measurement. However, not every customer needs the full range of existing products:</p>

<p><b>Compact, flexible, safe</b></p>
<p>Designed as a &quot;half interface&quot;, the Compact Class requires only half the width of a classic 19 inch test cabinet. With <b>4 height units</b> it offers space for <b>four ODU-MAC® Blue-Line frames</b> and with four signal blocks, for example, <b>up to 1,536 signal points</b>. If you need to transmit a lot of signals but need to limit the space required, the Compact Class is the right choice. In addition to a more compact size, the connection solution is characterized by its user-friendliness. The mechanical coding prevents the receiver from mismating and, thanks to the condition monitoring by means of a microswitch, it is possible to determine whether the docking process has been completed &#8211; making testing processes more convenient and safer.</p>
<p><b>Maximum modularity in a compact design</b></p>
<p>The new Compact Class can be <b>equipped with the ODU-MAC® Blue-Line modules</b> and supports a wide range of contact technologies: Signals, power, high-current, high-voltage, HF signals (coax), compressed air, fluids, data and fiber optics. It thus offers a universal platform for a wide range of test requirements &#8211; from end-of-line test benches to validation and development environments.</p>
<p><b>One receiver &#8211; three options</b></p>
<p>You can choose from three different options for a Compact Class receiver:<br />
<b>Housing Option, ITA Option or a Connector Option with a ODU-MAC® Rapid.</b></p>
<p>The housing option can be used as a &quot;large plug&quot;: The robust and lightweight aluminum cover can be equipped with a handle for ergonomic handling and rests securely on the hooks which are attached to the left and right of the receiver. Using the hand lever, which can be attached to either side of the receiver, the interface is closed to establish a reliable connection.</p>
<p>It can also be used with an <b>ITA (Interchangeable Test Adapter).</b><br />
<b>‘Dock. Test. Done.’</b> in small format.</p>
<p>The use of <b>ODU-MAC® Blue-Line frames</b> in the Compact Class also makes it possible to connect up to four <b>ODU-MAC® Rapid</b> connectors to the receiver. The Rapid series is designed with a practical half-shell principle, which facilitates assembly. The proven spindle locking system provides haptic and acoustic feedback as soon as the connector is in the final position.</p>
<p><b>Power for the highest demands</b></p>
<p>Another special feature is the fitting of the Powerblock. This has two 16 mm Lamtac® Flex contacts, through which a total of up to 600 amps (2 bridged contacts via busbar) can be transmitted per Powerblock. It also offers additional space for transmitting signals (sense), data, fluids or compressed air. This makes the Compact Class the first choice when it comes to transmitting the highest possible currents in the smallest possible installation space.</p></div>

La Compact Class che vedrete a productronica è la novità salvaspazio di questa famiglia di prodotti.</p>
<p><b>Soluzioni di alimentazione</b>: L&#8217;ODU-MAC® Power Connector può trasmettere fino a 600 A (con contatti ponticellati su busbar). Combina alta corrente e alta tensione in un&#8217;unica interfaccia ed è ideale per testare sistemi di accumulo ad alta tensione, celle di batterie ad alte performance e molto altro. Oltre alle versioni D216/D316 progettate per connessioni automatiche, sono da poco disponibili anche due versioni per connessioni manuali (M216/M316).</p>

<p><b>Mass interconnect solutions:</b> With the ability to transmit up to 4,608 signals, the ODU-MAC® Black-Line products are ideal for a wide range of test applications and can be integrated into 19 inch test systems. The <b>Compact Class</b> is a space-saving new addition to our product range.</p>
<p><b>Power solutions:</b> The ODU-MAC® Power Connector can transmit up to 600 A (with bridged contacts). It combines high-current and high-voltage in just one interface and is ideal for testing high-voltage storage systems, battery cells and much more. In addition to the D216/D316 versions for automatic docking, two versions for manual mating have recently become available (M216/M316).</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class="pb-text">With the new ODU-MAC® Power Connector M216 / M316, ODU is adding a manually pluggable solution for high-current and high-voltage applications to its portfolio. In addition to the established D216 / D316 docking and installation variants, users now also have a housing variant made of robust aluminum.</p>
<p><b>Proven technology for maximum performance</b><br />
The ODU-MAC® Power Connector impresses with the combination of high-current and high-voltage transmission up to 600 A in one connector, with two bridged contacts using a busbar, with high user safety thanks to IP2X touch protection.</p>
<p>The proven ODU LAMTAC® flex contact system enables low plugging and demating forces and is designed for more than 10.000 mating cycles. Typical fields of application are electromobility, end-of-line testing and high voltage tests.</p>
<p>The D216 / 316 versions are used as docking connectors with two or three power contacts and are preferably inserted in automated inspection and test environments. The combination of high-current and high-voltage transmission and integration with Blue-Line modules in one connector enables customers to achieve a high degree of flexibility and fulfill the high requirements for current, voltage and data technology, especially in the field of automotive testing or battery testing.</p>
<p>As an installation variant, the HB16 hybrid block offers a space-saving solution in a smaller format and can also be integrated as a power block in the ODU-MAC® Black-Line mass interconnect solution to transmit high currents.</p>
<p><b>M216 / M316 &#8211; the solution for manual inserts</b><br />
With the M216 / M316, the ODU-MAC® Power Connector is now also available for manual inserts for the first time. The robust enclosure, pre-assembled silicone cables and ODU LAMTAC® FLEX contacts ensure maximum reliability and a long service life of more than 10.000 mating cycles.</p>
<p>Just like the docking version, the manual solution of the ODU-MAC® Power Connector can also be flexibly combined with the ODU-MAC® Blue-Line modules and offers a wide variety of transmission types &#8211; from signal, power and high-current to HF signals (coax), compressed air and fluid coupling through to data rates and fiber optic.</p>
<p>The modular connectors also make maintenance and servicing easier. While other solutions use several connectors to supply a test bench with the necessary currents, the M216/M316 does this in a single plugging process, thus reducing downtimes thanks to its simple handling. As a system solution, all cables are available pre-assembled, meaning less work for customers.</p></div>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class="pb-text">I test nei settori delle batterie per la mobilità elettrica, dell&#8217;energia solare e dell&#8217;alta tensione devono essere eseguiti rispettando adeguati requisiti di sicurezza per proteggere l&#8217;utente. Sul mercato esistono molti connettori specificati per essere usati con tensioni fino a 1 kV AC/DC. Tuttavia, la selezione diventa significativamente più piccola se si desidera effettuare misure tra 1 kV e 1,6 kV CA/DC. Una sfida è quella di soddisfare la norma DIN EN IEC 61010-2-030:2022-11 / VDE 0411-2-030:2022-11 anche nel più piccolo spazio di installazione di un connettore. In particolare, è estremamente importante mantenere le distanze di scarica superficiale necessarie (rispettivamente almeno 22 mm e 32 mm) tra le parti sotto tensione e quelle isolate. Queste distanze di scarica superficiale devono tenere conto anche delle condizioni operative e dell&#8217;ambiente. Di norma, le misurazioni non vengono effettuate in un ambiente climatizzato e sterile. È quindi importante conoscere il grado di inquinamento ammesso (Pollution Degree &#8211; PD) del connettore.</p>
<p><b>Il connettore che soddisfa tutti i requisiti di sicurezza necessari fino a 1,6 kV AC/DC</b></p>
<p>L&#8217;ODU MEDI-SNAP® 1,6 kV AC/DC in taglia 1 soddisfa questi requisiti per PD 2 e offre ulteriori vantaggi: una lunga durata, un connettore sicuro senza carico e una facile manipolazione.</p>
<p>La sicurezza del connettore include anche la protezione dei contatti, che non viene fornita dai connettori alternativi presenti sul mercato. Tuttavia, ciò è particolarmente importante nelle aree con tensione superiore a 1000 volt. Inoltre, si evita l&#8217;errore di accoppiamento in quanto il connettore è codificato a colori e anche meccanicamente. Il connettore ha classe di protezione IP64.</p>
<p>ODU MEDI-SNAP® è dotato anche di un meccanismo di chiusura push-pull. In questo modo si ottiene un feedback aptico, ma si evita anche lo scollegamento involontario. Di conseguenza, è convincente in tutti i criteri principali rispetto alle soluzioni standard del mercato.</p>
<p>I connettori ODU MEDI-SNAP® sono definiti senza capacità di commutazione (COC) in conformità alla norma IEC 61984:2008 (VDE 0627:2009-11). Il MEDI-SNAP® per 1,6 kV è disponibile opzionalmente colorato in arancione come colore di segnalazione per l&#8217;alta tensione.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class="pb-text">Les tests dans les domaines des batteries pour les véhicules électriques, du solaire et de la haute tension doivent être réalisés dans le respect des exigences de sécurité afin de protéger l&#8217;utilisateur. Il existe de nombreux connecteurs sur le marché qui sont spécifiés pour une utilisation jusqu&#8217;à 1 kV AC/DC. Le choix se réduit toutefois considérablement si l&#8217;on souhaite effectuer des mesures entre 1 kV et 1,6 kV AC/DC. L&#8217;un des défis est ici de satisfaire à la norme DIN EN IEC 61010-2-030:2022-11 / VDE 0411-2-030:2022-11, avec un connecteur à encombrement réduit. Il est particulièrement important de respecter les lignes de fuite et les distances d&#8217;isolement dans l&#8217;air nécessaires (respectivement 22 mm et 32 mm minimum) entre le contact électrique et les pièces en contact avec l’utilisateur. Ces lignes de fuite et distances dans l&#8217;air doivent également tenir compte des conditions d&#8217;utilisation ou de l&#8217;environnement. En règle générale, les mesures ne sont pas effectuées dans un environnement climatisé et stérile. Il est donc important de connaître le degré de pollution (VG) admissible du connecteur.</p>
<p><b>Répondant à toutes les exigences de sécurité nécessaires jusqu&#8217;à 1,6 kV AC/DC</b><br />
Le connecteur ODU MEDI-SNAP® 1.6 kV AC/DC taille 1 répond au degré de pollution 2 et présente d&#8217;autres avantages : une longue durée de vie, un enfichage sûr sans charge, ainsi qu&#8217;une manipulation simple.</p>
<p>Un enfichage sûr implique également une protection de la partie active du contact, ce qui n&#8217;est pas le cas des connecteurs alternatifs disponibles sur le marché. Or, c&#8217;est précisément dans les zones de plus de 1000 volts que celui-ci revêt une très grande importance. De plus, l’inversion est évitée car le connecteur est doté d&#8217;un code couleur, mais aussi d&#8217;un détrompage mécanique. Le connecteur présente un indice de protection IP64.</p>
<p>A cela s&#8217;ajoute le verrouillage push-pull disponible sur le MEDI-SNAP® d&#8217;ODU. Celle-ci assure un feedback haptique, mais empêche également tout débranchement involontaire. Il peut ainsi convaincre sur tous les critères principaux par rapport aux solutions habituelles du marché. Les connecteurs ODU MEDI-SNAP® sont définis sans pouvoir de coupure (COC) selon l’IEC 61984:2008 (VDE 0627:2009-11). En option, le MEDI-SNAP® pour 1,6 kV est disponible en orange comme couleur de référence pour les hautes tensions.</p>
<p><b>De multiples domaines d&#8217;application haute tension</b><br />
Avec ce nouveau connecteur haute tension, ODU s&#8217;adresse à un segment important, dans lequel les résultats des tests de batteries sont notamment utilisés pour la recherche et améliorer encore les produits.<br />
Le MEDI-SNAP® 1,6 kV peut être utilisé dans d’autres domaines que les tests automobiles, à savoir le stockage de batteries, les mesures de haute tension dans des environnements de laboratoire ou encore le secteur photovoltaïque. ODU propose le MEDI-SNAP® 1,6 kV sous forme de kit convivial avec codage mécanique et couleur.</p>
