Più velocemente viene ricaricato un veicolo, più tempo è disponibile per l’attività di trasporto vera e propria. Allo stesso tempo, le interfacce devono gestire quotidianamente numerose operazioni di connessione automatizzate. Un elevato numero di cicli di inserimento e contatti elettrici stabili nel tempo sono quindi fondamentali per garantire un’elevata disponibilità dei veicoli.

Anche il posizionamento pone requisiti sfidanti alle interfacce di connessione: gli AGV infatti non raggiungono sempre la posizione di attracco con precisione millimetrica. L’interfaccia deve compensare in modo efficace i disallineamenti e garantire al contempo la protezione contro il contatto accidentale. A seconda dell’applicazione, tramite lo stesso collegamento possono inoltre essere trasmessi potenza elettrica, segnali, dati o anche fluidi.

Un’interfaccia modulare per esigenze diverse

Per le applicazioni di aggancio automatizzato ODU offre i connettori modulari della linea ODU-MAC® Silver-Line. È possibile combinare diversi mezzi di trasmissione in un’unica interfaccia e adattarli in modo flessibile alla specifica applicazione.

I potenti moduli LAMTAC® Flex trasmettono fino a 225 A per contatto. La protezione integrata contro il contatto accidentale IP2X aumenta la sicurezza dell’utente. Nelle operazioni di aggancio automatizzate, il sistema compensa disallineamenti radiali fino a 4 mm. Garantita per oltre 100.000 cicli di innesto, la linea ODU-MAC® Silver-Line è progettata per frequenti operazioni automatiche di innesto e disinnesto.

Per la trasmissione ottica dei dati sono inoltre disponibili diversi moduli in fibra ottica, tra cui soluzioni dotate della innovativa tecnologia di contatto Expanded Beam Performance. Grazie a tale tecnologia le interfacce ottiche di contatto non richiedono più di essere pulite in condizioni normali, quindi si riduce l’onere di manutenzione e, di conseguenza, il rischio di fermi macchina.

Fino a 600 A per tempi di ricarica particolarmente brevi

Quando la priorità è la massima velocità di ricarica, entra in gioco l’ODU-MAC® Power Connector. In combinazione con le barre collettrici a ponte, il sistema trasmette fino a 600 A ed è disponibile con due o tre contatti di potenza. In questo modo è possibile ridurre i tempi di ricarica e reimmettere più rapidamente i veicoli nel processo di trasporto.

The faster a vehicle is charged, the more time is available for the actual transport operation. At the same time, the interfaces must handle numerous automated connection operations every day. High insertion cycle counts and consistently stable electrical contacts are therefore crucial for high vehicle availability.

Positioning also poses significant requirements: AGVs do not always reach their docking position with millimeter precision. The interface must reliably compensate for deviations while also providing protection against accidental contact. Depending on the application, signals, data, or fluids may also need to be transmitted via the same connection.

A modular interface for a variety of requirements

For automated docking applications, ODU offers the modular connectors of the ODU-MAC® Silver-Line. Various transmission media can be combined into a single interface and flexibly adjusted to the specific application.

High-performance LAMTAC® Flex modules can transmit up to 225 A per module. The built-in IP2X touch protection enhances user safety. During automated docking operations, the system compensates for radial positional deviations of up to 4 mm. With more than 100,000 mating cycles, the ODU-MAC® Silver-Line is designed for frequent automatic mating and disconnection operations.

Various fiber optic modules are also available for optical data rates, including solutions featuring Expanded Beam Performance technology. Since their contact areas do not need to be cleaned under normal conditions, maintenance requirements are reduced – and with them, the risk of maintenance-related downtime.

Up to 600 A for exceptionally short charging times

When maximum charging power is the priority, the ODU-MAC® Power Connector comes into play. When used with bridged busbars, the system transmits up to 600 A and is available with two or three power contacts. This helps reduce charging times and get vehicles back into the transportation process more quickly.

In addition, modules from the ODU-MAC® Blue-Line portfolio can be integrated. This means that a single connector system combines power transmission with signal, data, fluid, and other interface functions.

The right solution for every AGV application

The application profile determines which connection solution is best: For frequent automated docking operations, durability, blind-mating capability, and tolerance compensation are particularly important. In contrast, for particularly power-intensive applications, high current-carrying capacity is the top priority.

Quick-change head solution – minimal maintenance with millions of mating cycles

Docking systems are inserted hundreds of thousands of times. However, the installed components must be laboriously maintained and, if necessary, completely replaced, which leads to a complete system shutdown. The quick-change head solution from ODU significantly reduces this downtime with mating cycles of up to 10 million. If the connector needs to be replaced, the front part of the connector frame can be changed in seconds, while the rear part, including the cable assembly, remains unchanged. This means that the connection remains continuous without the need for a complete shutdown of the entire system.

Un aspetto importante è l’aumento della sicurezza degli utenti, l’altro è il mantenimento delle caratteristiche peculiari del prodotto. Ecco perché i nuovi contatti per alta corrente ODU-MAC® Silver/White-Line sono dotati di caratteristiche aggiuntive: per renderli capaci di trasportare correnti fino a 255 A con tensioni fino a 2,5 kV (in situazione di Pollution Degree 2) è stato necessario aumentare il grado di isolamento ed ottimizzare al contempo lo sforzo di inserzione. Inoltre, sul lato pin, è stata aggiunta la protezione al tatto IP2X.

I nuovi moduli ad alta corrente presentano ulteriori vantaggi grazie all’adozione dei contatti realizzati in tecnologia ODU LAMTAC® Flex: essi garantiscono un minimo di 100.000 cicli di accoppiamento e forze di inserzione ridotte fino a 10 N.

One important aspect is increasing user safety, the other one is keeping product advantages at the same time. That’s why ODU’s new ODU-MAC® Silver-/White-Line high-current modules come with extra features. Up to 255 A and 2.5 kV (PD 2) call for an increase in clearance and creepage. Additionally, IP2X touch-protection has been added to the pin side.

While this optimization is necessary for any high-current application, the modules have more advantages by using ODU LAMTAC® Flex contacts: a minimum of 100,000 mating cycles and decreased mating forces of up to 10 N.

The benefit for the user: a safe, highly reliable and durable high-current interface, making it ideal for use in AGVs/AMRs, where the ODU-MAC® SilverLine is the interface between robot and the station, or high-power applications in general. Of course, the new modules can be combined with regular ODUMAC® Silver-/White-Line modules to create a modular connector specifically adapted to any customer requirement.

Compatto, flessibile, sicuro

Progettata come una "mezza interfaccia", la Compact Class richiede solo la metà della larghezza di un classico armadio di test da 19 pollici. Con 4 unità di altezza offre spazio per quattro telai ODU-MAC® Blue-Line. Se equipaggiata con quattro monoblocchi di segnale, può contattare contemporaneamente fino a 1536 punti di segnale. Se avete bisogno di trasmettere molti segnali ma avete dei limiti di spazio sul vostro rack, la Compact Class è la scelta giusta. Oltre alle dimensioni più compatte, la soluzione di connessione si distingue per la sua facilità d’uso. La codifica meccanica impedisce connessioni non volute e, grazie al monitoraggio delle condizioni per mezzo di un microinterruttore, è possibile determinare se il processo di aggancio è stato completato, rendendo i processi di test più comodi e sicuri.

Massima modularità in un design compatto

La nuova Compact Class può essere equipaggiata con i moduli ODU-MAC® Blue-Line e supporta un’ampia gamma di contatti: segnali, potenza, alta corrente, alta tensione, segnali HF (coassiali), aria compressa, fluidi, dati digitali ad alta velocità su rame e fibra ottica. Rappresenta quindi una piattaforma universale per un’ampia gamma di applicazioni, dai banchi di prova di fine linea (EoL) a quelli per i test durante lo sviluppo dei devices.

Un ricevitore – tre opzioni

È possibile scegliere tra tre diverse opzioni per un ricevitore della Compact Class:

Opzione custodia, opzione ITA o opzione connettore con connettori manuali ODU-MAC® Rapid.

L’opzione custodia può essere vista come una "grande spina": il coperchio in alluminio, robusto e leggero, può essere dotato di una maniglia per una gestione ergonomica e poggia saldamente sui ganci fissati a sinistra e a destra del ricevitore. Utilizzando la leva manuale, che può essere fissata su entrambi i lati del ricevitore, l’interfaccia viene chiusa per stabilire una connessione affidabile.

Può essere utilizzato anche con un adattatore ITA (Interchangeable Test Adapter) .

L’uso di telai ODU-MAC® Blue-Line nella Compact Class consente inoltre di collegare al ricevitore fino a quattro connettori ODU-MAC® Rapid. La serie Rapid è progettata con il pratico principio del semiguscio, che facilita il montaggio e le operazioni di manutenzione del connettore cablato. Il collaudato sistema di bloccaggio del mandrino fornisce un feedback aptico e acustico non appena il connettore si trova nella posizione finale.

Potenza per le esigenze più elevate

Un’altra caratteristica speciale della Compact Class è la sua compatibilità con il Powerblock. Dotato di due contatti 16 mm Lamtac® Flex, attraverso i quali è possibile trasmettere un totale fino a 600 Ampere (2 contatti a ponticellati su busbar), ogni Powerblock offre inoltre spazio aggiuntivo per la trasmissione di segnali, dati, fluidi o aria compressa. Ciò rende la Compact Class la prima scelta quando si tratta di trasmettere le correnti più elevate possibili nello spazio di installazione più ridotto possibile.
